Inside of Assignment Fairchild Air Force Base
You can see the Headquarters Building in the background. It still stands today.
These helmets are typical for SAC Combat Defense Squadrons. If you have seen the movie
SAC with Jimmy Stewart it shows the Air Police wearing these types of helmets.
Early morning sun
silhouettes a member of the 92d Combat Defense Squadron and his sentry dog on guard at the end of an all night vigil, Guarding
flightline aircraft is among the multitudes of responsibilities of the 92d Combat Support Group
92d Combat Security Defense Sq.
Noticed the K-9 Handler, he is wearing an Air Police Helmet
Police Week at Fairchild AFB May 15-19 2006
The picture above and the building in the back ground is our old squadron buidling We
moved out of that building in 1988 I think in to our new building on Arnold St.
The Airman pictured above is Airman Wood. I was stationed with him at Fairchild in the 70's
(1976-1978)
Also noticed in the back ground the traffic control device? It is like the one below.
Anyone who has ever was stationed at Fairchild has to remember the traffic guard who
stood watch at Blair Elementry School in the 60's 70's and 80's I wish I had the 700 dollars they want for this item.
